7 x 70!

Matthew 18:22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

Healing rain fell down on our small group tonight...Thank you Lord, for your abundant forgiveness.  Thank you Lord, for reminding us to forgive those who trespass against us.  We know that our forgiveness of others will never measure up.  Although we will fall short in offering forgiveness, I pray that we will strive to forgive others of their transgressions, one sin at a time.  When I think of the times in my life when I actually came close to 7 x 70 sins in a day needing forgiveness, I am dumbfounded by the enormity of my sin nature before salvation! Dear Lord, Your word and Your Holy Spirit soaked my soul tonight...my heart actually grew two sizes as I realized the frailness of my human capacity without Your tender Grace and Mercy...Once again...in Your presence...and Your presence was thick, I was undone.  I surrender.  When I least expect it, I am caught off guard, in moments like these, in fellowship with my christian brothers and sisters, I am reminded that You are an oasis in the desert of our collective sin nature.  Thank you Lord for drawing me close to You tonight.  I pray that I may share Your Love, Your Mercy, and Your Forgiveness with others, the way it has rained down upon my life. Selah!
